CLASS PROPHECY

This is the year 1968

We board the S.S. Kaunoa at our modern and luxurious harbor at Kahului. Amid the hubbub we are welcomed aboard by stewards Robert L. and Brian J. O. In a farewell to poor ole Pete B., who has just undergone surgery for a broken collar bone, we toss our beautiful kiawe bean leis into the foaming ocean. Oh, oh, here comes Dr. Meyer U. dragging Pete back to his hospital bed.
The Dr. is assisted by a staff of pretty nurses. They are Esther, Sandra C., Yvonne D., and Winona O.
We hear the whistling of the whistle and leave the dock with a spurt, sputter and a roar. Our curiosity leads us to the engine room to see who our captain is. He's none other than our already seasick friend, Pedro S. He's assisted by his equally seasick friend, Kent C. We chat with them for a while until we smell something burning.

We rush frantically around to find the source. Oh, no, it's only Craig Y. and Ronald I., our chefs cooking our dinner. After discovering our dinner consists of kim chee, daikon, kalua dog, and Chinese 1,000-year-old eggs, we leave, never to return for our yummy dinner.

We finally arrive at Los Angeles and are greeted by a welcoming committee. They are our old friends Mercedes R., Carol O., Joan T., Manuel M., and Patrick Y. We board a hydro-powered automobile designed by Kim. We always thought he was thinking under water. We're driven to the extravagant Hoo Bally Hoo Hotel. Tao W. registers us and calls our bellgirls Mary V., Carilina T., and Wendy C. They take us to our room, No. 13, on the thirteenth floor. After a recuperating period we leave the room to paint the town red.

Passing an open door we receive an aroma of moonshine. Peeking in we see Sharon T., and Margaret B. feeling gay on Lucky Lager, being dragged out by our big, strong bouncers Romulo D. and Kay S. We try talking to them but they keep on insisting they see pink elephants. Poor soulsl

Moving on, we're bumped into by Romeo, Ricky G., and Juliet, Marilyn W . They're so engrossed in eactl other that we're unnoticed.

What's that racket? We look behind just in time to see Juliet, Marilyn, bash Romeo, Ricky, on the head with her purse and stalk off. Such is the fate of love. It never pays.

Passing the theater we hear a lot of racket going on. Curiosity takes us in. We purchase our tickets from Dennis and are led to our seats by Joyce and Brenda. Once inside we can easily understand the racket. You know, there's a queer character by the name of Elbis Prosley, or something like that. Well, the dodo goon was trying to entertain some people on a surprise show. It was raining tomatoes, shoes, eggs, and everything on the stage. So, we very willingly joined them. After exhausting our coats and shoes, we leave in disgust.

Outside, we come upon Eloise trying to peddle her popcorn. W e buy a bag and find out it tastes something like cod-liver oil. No wonder, she used her own recipe!

Oh! Ohl We have to hurry if we're to make the movie studio on time. They agreed to let us come and watch the movie "The Black Monster" being filmed. Look who's acting as the monster! It's Wally! Sure fits the description. Co-starring with him is Stephanie Y. Others in the cast are as follows: Monster's accomplices, Linda M., Charlotte, Aileen, and Leslie. Monster's girlfriends are Linda W., Judy and Patsy T. Policemen, Bobby and Clayton, and the monster's victims (Elvis' fans) Audrey, Patty, and Patsy M. The monster and his accomplices succeed in devouring their victims and the police stand by laughing. Wonderful ending!!!

Leaving the studio we notice that the streets are unusually empty. No wonder, that famous singer and actor is putting on a show. Of course, it couldn't be anyone else except Pat Boone. The whole city is at the theater so we decide to join them. Look who else is here! Charlene and Elona. After the show everyone walks out dreamy-eyed and happy.

We decide to pay a visit to Pat Boone. Look who's here chatting with Mrs. Boone! It's Gail and Sharon. Always yakking... There's Stephanie G, and Lorraine. They vowed that they would some day work for him. Here comes Pat. We call him over and he willingly autographs our books and invites us in. Gee! The Boone's have been nice but we must leave. We bid them aloha with our opus stuffed with Mrs. Boone's cookies.

Hurrying through the crowded streets we push our way to Hollywood Park where they're having a he-man beauty contest. Taking out our binoculars we recognize some of the contestants as Joseph, Gary M., Jamie, Clifford, and Gordon. At the moment they're in the bathing suit division and the winner is Willy. In the tuxedo division Bill won. Our impartial judges are Suzie, Gary H., Jackie, and Patty P.

"Hot Dogs, Hot Dogs"....German Sheperd, Terrior, Spitz, etc., right off the stove. Hot Dogs! Step right up and get your hot dogs!"
Who's making all that ruckus? Looking yonder we see Linda C. K. selling hot dogs. And she used to love her pets so much.

There's a big crowd in front of the park entrance. We rush over to find out what's happening. Sallie was demonstrating one of her new inventions. It's a contraption which keeps your hair up to style through the years after one treatment. Her first victims are Clarita and Charlie. They emerge beautiful and proud.

We decide to leave the park and roam some more. We go about two blocks when we come upon the Purple People Eaters, namely Jim, Violeta, Anne, and Michael. They had one eye, one horn, and were pigeon-toed and under-toed. We decided we'd better get out of here, and fast!!!!

We also decide it's about time we start back to Kahului where we're sure we'll be safe. Taking the fast way, we hail Darrell who brings our uranium-powered carpet to us. Whoooosh! Wheeeee! And we land safely at Kahului.
